Ryu Seung Ryong And Ha Ji Won’s Family Is Torn Apart By A Shocking Incident In “Portrait Of A Family”

Upcoming film “Portrait of a Family” has released a new set of stills teasing its mystery-filled story.

“Portrait of a Family” is a family chronicle that follows top star couple Jung Gu (Ryu Seung Ryong) and Nam Mi (Ha Ji Won). After their marriage falls apart due to the sudden appearance of Jung Gu’s daughter Dong Ju (Kim Si Ah), the film picks up eight years later, depicting the couple’s desperate pursuit of the truth to save Dong Ju after she becomes embroiled in a shocking incident.

The newly released stills capture both the film’s mystery and emotional intensity. One image shows Jung Gu during his glory days as a nationally beloved baseball star, standing at the plate with a bat and locking eyes with the pitcher. Another depicts Nam Mi standing in front of a van amid a flurry of camera flashes, staring at her phone with a conflicted expression, hinting at the glamorous life the celebrity couple once shared.

The mood then takes a dramatic turn. Jung Gu is standing dazed in a dark alley, while Nam Mi wears the expression of someone who has given up on everything, foreshadowing the tragedy that befalls them.

Another still shows Jung Gu’s daughter Dong Ju gazing anxiously at something off-screen, raising questions about her role at the center of the incident.

Another image captures Jung Gu long after his days of fame, visibly distraught at a police station. As he desperately shouts at someone, the still hints at the lengths he’ll go to in order to protect his daughter.

Other stills capture Jung Gu’s family members. His mother Gi Sik (Kim Hae Sook) is carrying a fur coat despite the summer heat, while his older sister Ji Sook (Kim Sun Young) wears a bold leopard-print sheer outfit. Standing beside them is Jung Gu’s brother-in-law Sung Myung (Kim Young Min), sporting curly hair, sunglasses, and beads of sweat, creating an eccentric family portrait.

The stills also feature reporter Choi Wook (Lee Hyun Kyun), who has long shared a bitter history with Jung Gu, staring intently at something while on a filming set.

In the final images, Dong Ju looks back in desperation as police lead her away, reaching out for help while the last still captures Jung Gu desperately clinging to her hand until the very last moment, teasing the film’s unpredictable events.

Starring Kim Hye Soo, Cho Yeo Jeong, Kim Ji Hun, and Kim Jae Chul, “The Affair Was Just the Beginning” is a black comedy that unfolds as spiraling chain reactions take place when a popular influencer couple, who has sold the image of a happy family, and their next-door neighbors—a doctor couple locked in a bitter divorce battle—become entangled in an overwhelming secret that makes even an affair seem trivial.

The newly released stills feature Kyung Hee (Kim Hye Soo), a self-made interior design influencer. She has moved into a new home with her husband Jae Hong (Kim Ji Hun) and their daughter Ye Ji, creating what appears to be a warm family.

tvN’s upcoming drama “Spooky in Love” has released a new teaser spotlighting Park Eun Bin’s character!

A remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound,” “Spooky in Love” is an occult romance drama about the chaotic partnership between a hotel heiress who can see ghosts and a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them.

The new teaser begins by introducing Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), a chaebol heiress who is the CEO of the country’s top luxury hotel. First, the teaser paints Cheon Yeo Ri from the perspective of the hotel staff, who see her as an ice-cold boss who is always wearing gloves and who strictly insists on maintaining physical distance from other people.

Badmouthing her in voice-over, someone points out that she treats everyone around her like “invisible people,” even going so far as to declare, “I don’t know why ghosts don’t snatch away people like that, who are drunk on their sense of privilege.”

At those very words, the atmosphere undergoes a sudden change, and the reason why Cheon Yeo Ri keeps people at a distance is suddenly revealed: every night, the unfortunate heiress is visited by spirits that are invisible to everyone else.

While lying in bed, Cheon Yeo Ri’s eyes snap open and scan her surroundings after she senses an unfamiliar presence. But when she finally sees the entity that has entered her home, the calm way she speaks to it suggests that this isn’t the spirit’s first visit.

KBS has released a new teaser for its upcoming drama “The Husband”!

“The Husband” is a romance thriller that follows Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min), a man who becomes entangled in a desperate fight against a ruthless criminal in order to rescue his wife, who is kidnapped just before their divorce.

The released teaser begins with neurosurgeon Kang Tae Joo performing surgery in a tense atmosphere. In one scene, his wife Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol) is crying out, “This is all because of you,” while in another, Kang Tae Joo tells her that they should break up.

The teaser then shows Kang Tae Joo looking bewildered during a police interrogation, where he is asked, “Did you contract someone you met for the first time yesterday to murder your wife?” While he is being questioned, the video shows someone pushing a white vehicle into a lake.

Jang Tae Joo and Go Se Yoon are then facing each other in the middle of a banquet hall. Go Se Yoon declares that she is not getting a divorce, stating that she does not want to do anything he wants. In another scene, Kang Tae Joo says that he is not sure what Se Yoon actually wants, while in yet another scene, a drunk Kang Tae Joo is sitting in the back of a car while a designated driver is driving. The teaser ends with him telling the designated driver, “Please get rid of my wife.”

Upcoming drama “The Husband” has unveiled new stills of Lee Seol in character!

Lee Seol plays Go Se Yoon, the wife of Kang Tae Joo. Although Go Se Yoon graduated from the same medical school as her husband, she now serves as the chairwoman of We Are Together Hospital. A workaholic who refuses to give up either her career or her family, she has been living with complicated feelings toward Kang Tae Joo. However, her life is thrown into an extreme situation when she is kidnapped by Noh Man Hee (Kim Dae Myeung) the day after her husband brings up divorce.

Having even cut off her long hair for the role, Lee Seol showcases her dedication to portraying Go Se Yoon. Newly released stills capture her first appearance as the character, conveying the calm exterior and the brewing storm beneath the surface.

The photos show Go Se Yoon displaying very different emotional states at the hospital and at home. At the hospital, she exudes the coldness and decisive charisma expected of a chairwoman. At home, however, she reveals a sense of fragility through subtly wavering eyes despite her composed demeanor. As Go Se Yoon faces both a looming divorce and a sudden kidnapping, anticipation is growing over what lies ahead for her tragic fate.

Lee Seol shared, “The script was incredibly gripping from start to finish. Above all, I had always wanted the opportunity to work alongside Namkoong Min, an actor I deeply admire and trust, so I accepted the role without hesitation.”

She also revealed the special effort she put into bringing her character to life, saying, “When I read the script and thought about Se Yoon, the first thing that came to mind was a pearl. I personally searched for and selected pearls to create custom earrings and a necklace for her.” She added, “I also cut my hair short to achieve a more sophisticated look.”

KBS 2TV’s upcoming weekend miniseries “The Husband” is scheduled to premiere on July 4 at 9:20 p.m. KST.
