Watch: Son Suk Ku And Nagayama Eita Get Entangled Through A Serial Murder Case In “The Blue Road” Teasers

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The Blue Road” has unveiled a new poster and teaser!

“The Blue Road” is the latest project from director Han Jun Hee, who helmed the “D.P.” series and the film “Coin Locker Girl.” The film follows the story of two detectives tracking a series of murders that occur across both Korea and Japan.

Son Suk Ku plays Kim Seok, a detective with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Mobile Investigation Unit, while Nagayama Eita portrays Inose, a detective from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s First Investigation Division. The two, who possess contrasting personalities and investigative styles, find their paths intertwined by a recurring case that transcends national borders.

The poster features Kim Seok and Inose standing in the back alleys of Japan and Korea, respectively. Behind them appear mysterious messages written in both Korean and Japanese. The bodies, found with their limbs twisted, and the messages left at the scenes serve as the key clues connecting the serial murders.

In the trailer, the process of the two detectives tracking the case in their respective locations is shown through rapid cross-cutting. Phrases written in Korean and Japanese using the victims’ blood are discovered at the scenes, and Kim Seok and Inose delve into the fact that the crimes are spanning across both countries.

There is a distinct difference in how they approach the investigation. Kim Seok pursues suspects by pushing through crowds, while Inose clings to the case with explosive emotions. Notably, a scene featuring a bloodied and collapsed Kim Seok with Inose looking down at him suggests that their relationship is not merely one of cooperation.

Kim Shin Rock joins the cast as Lee Yoon Ok, a Zainichi Korean businesswoman. With a mysterious tiger painting appearing in the background of the case, a major question remains as to how Lee Yoon Ok, the two detectives, and the serial murders are all connected.

Watch the full teaser below!

“The Blue Road” is set to make its world premiere in the On Screen section at the 31st Busan International Film Festival, which will be held from October 6 through 15. Director Han Jun Hee, along with actors Son Suk Ku, Nagayama Eita, and Kim Shin Rock, are scheduled to attend the festival to meet with audiences.

‘The Blue Road” is set to be released on November 20. Stay tuned!

Lee Jong Suk Steps Into The Opposing Empire With Unknown Motives In “The Remarried Empress”

Disney+’s upcoming fantasy romance “The Remarried Empress” has unveiled new stills featuring Lee Jong Suk!

Based on the popular web novel of the same name, “The Remarried Empress” follows Navier, the perfect empress of the Eastern Empire. When her husband Sovieshu, the emperor of the Eastern Empire, cheats on her and divorces her, Navier responds by marrying Heinrey, the prince of the Western Empire.

The newly released stills capture the contrasting sides of Heinrey (Lee Jong Suk), the prince of the Western Empire. Heinrey makes his full-fledged appearance at the imperial court when he visits the Eastern Empire as part of a delegation for the New Year’s celebration.

One still shows him with a sharp gaze and a firm grip on a sword, while another shows him wearing a relaxed smile inside the palace.

While he openly expresses his feelings to Navier, he maintains a cold presence when facing Sovieshu (Ju Ji Hoon). Lee Jong Suk conveys these differences in emotional temperature through subtle changes in his expressions and gaze.

The decisive moment comes with Sovieshu’s declaration, “I must divorce the Empress.” However, instead of backing down at the notice of divorce, Navier chooses to accept it and demands approval for her remarriage to Heinrey.

“OK, Let’s Get Divorced” follows the realistic divorce journey of a married couple who run a wedding dress shop as they decide to put an end to their exhausting marriage.

The poster features Baek Mi Young (Lee Min Jung) and Ji Won Ho (Kim Ji Suk) standing against a backdrop of a snow-covered landscape, each gazing in a different direction. Although they stand close to one another, their eyes never meet, symbolically highlighting the emotional distance and fragile nature of their relationship.

Baek Mi Young and Ji Won Ho are a married couple in their seventh year of marriage and co-CEOs of a wedding dress shop. After enduring repeated conflicts, they ultimately decide to divorce. In the poster, the pair conveys a mix of lingering attachment, resignation, and complex emotions through their facial expressions.

In particular, the tagline, “Determined to say goodbye to my entire past,” carries meaning beyond the end of a marriage, suggesting that the two must also let go of the time and memories they shared. It conveys a heavier emotional tone and foreshadows the mood of the drama.

Kim Ji Suk Dishes On His “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” Character, Chemistry With Lee Min Jung, And More

Kim Ji Suk has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “OK, Let’s Get Divorced”!

“OK, Let’s Get Divorced” follows the realistic divorce journey of a married couple who run a wedding dress shop as they decide to put an end to their exhausting marriage.

Kim Ji Suk plays Ji Won Ho, the co-CEO and designer of the wedding dress shop G&White.

In the newly released stills, his professional side is evident as he focuses on his work as a talented designer and looks through fashion magazines. In contrast, another still shows him with a somewhat agitated expression, hinting at what may have happened to him. It remains to be seen why Ji Won Ho, who once appeared to have achieved both career success and love, received a divorce notice from his wife Baek Mi Young (Lee Min Jung).

Kim Ji Suk Dishes On His “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” Character, Chemistry With Lee Min Jung, And More插图

Kim Ji Suk described the drama through the keyword “process,” explaining, “It is a story that shows in detail the process of how a couple who once loved each other so deeply that they would have seemed willing to pluck a star from the sky for one another become husband and wife and eventually reach divorce.”

He explained his reason for joining the project, saying, “The development of the story and the reasons each person decides to get divorced were very compelling. I hope viewers will watch this raw process, which realistically portrays how a couple who has decided to divorce faces their own emotions and circumstances without any unnecessary embellishment.”

To fully immerse himself in the character, Kim Ji Suk said, “I watched a lot of programs about divorce. It felt realistic because the emotions and reasons each spouse had were in sharp conflict with each other.”

He continued, “To others, Ji Won Ho has a strong image as a hot-tempered, stubborn, eccentric designer, but when you look deeper, he is a lonely husband and man who carries an unforgettable wound and lives while trying to comfort himself alone.”

Kim Ji Suk Dishes On His “OK, Let’s Get Divorced” Character, Chemistry With Lee Min Jung, And More插图1

Regarding his on-screen chemistry as a married couple with Lee Min Jung, Kim Ji Suk said, “We clicked from the beginning to the point where we asked each other, ‘How many times have we worked together before?’ Lee Min Jung’s ability to immerse herself in her role is so impressive that even when it wasn’t my scene, I remember happily watching her from behind the monitor.”

He continued, “[In reality,] even when I say the same thing, I try to make it sound as nice as possible, but unfortunately, Ji Won Ho’s character does not have that filter. Saying things to his wife without filtering is part of the acting, but I felt sorry every time I did it.”

Kim Ji Suk chose “relatability” as the key point to watch, saying, “Everyone always has their own perspectives and the emotions that come with those differences, right? I want to provide a sense of vicarious satisfaction and relief by portraying those feelings in a way that viewers can relate to without filtering.”

He continued, “I am most looking forward to the key scenes that show a couple’s past and present as they reach the point of deciding to divorce, as well as their feelings as they face an uncertain future. Just as the title is straightforward, the drama is also very realistic. Please continue to watch and see whether the two will actually get divorced or not.”
