“Perfect Crown” and “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier” dominated this week’s rankings of the most buzzworthy dramas and actors!

In its final week on air, MBC’s “Perfect Crown” remained No. 1 on Good Data Corporation’s weekly list of the dramas that generated the most buzz. The company determines each week’s rankings by collecting data from news articles, blog posts, online communities, videos, and social media about dramas that are either currently airing or set to air soon.

In addition to “Perfect Crown” topping the list of the most buzzworthy dramas, both of its leads ranked high on the list of the most buzzworthy drama cast members, where IU and Byeon Woo Seok took No. 2 and No. 3 respectively.

No. 1 on the actor list went to Park Ji Hoon, the star of tvN’s “The Legend of Kitchen Soldier,” which jumped to No. 2 on this week’s drama list.

The next spots on both lists went to SBS’s “My Royal Nemesis,” which rose to No. 3 on the drama list. Meanwhile, leads Lim Ji Yeon and Heo Nam Jun ranked No. 4 and No. 5 respectively on the actor list.

Netflix’s new series “The WONDERfools” debuted at No. 4 on this week’s drama list, while stars Park Eun Bin and ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo entered the actor list at No. 6 and No. 9 respectively.

JTBC’s “We Are All Trying Here” took No. 5 on the drama list, and star Koo Kyo Hwan made the actor list at No. 10.

Meanwhile, ENA’s “The Scarecrow” held onto its spot at No. 6 on the drama list.

Park Eun Bin Dishes On Her New Drama “The WONDERfools”

Park Eun Bin recently sat down with Cosmopolitan Korea magazine to discuss her new Netflix series “The WONDERfools.”

“The WONDERfools” is a superhero action comedy set in 1999, a time when apocalyptic beliefs were rampant. It follows a group of neighborhood misfits who unexpectedly gain superpowers and fight against villains threatening the peace of Haeseong City.

In the interview following the shoot, Park Eun Bin shared, “Since I’m someone who is mainly seen through video, I often feel awkward seeing myself in photos. At times like that, I find it easier to approach the shoot by channeling a character. Today, I brought out Chae Ni’s quirky side for the shoot.”

Spoilers

Speaking about Eun Chae Ni, her character in “The WONDERfools,” Park Eun Bin remarked, “In a nutshell, you could describe Chae Ni as a kid who can’t travel because of a heart condition, but I ultimately thought that these characters possess qualities that can represent many different people.”

Revealing her affection for the drama, she continued, “I loved the message that these characters aren’t nobodies—they simply haven’t accomplished anything yet, but they are still people living meaningful lives in their own ways. Even if not many people recognize that they saved the world, the fact that they accomplished it themselves, and that they acknowledge one another for it, was a great comfort to me.”

Actress Park Eun Bin, who has courageously challenged herself with a wide variety of roles, commented, “When I was younger, change felt unstable to me, but now I think you can only move forward if you change. I believe that as we change, our gears gradually align with one another. Playing a variety of characters has now become something enjoyable because I discover sides of myself I never knew existed. Thankfully, the projects I personally felt drawn to up until now have also been loved by viewers and fans. I’m grateful that the path I believed was right turned out to be one that others recognized as well.”

When asked what “The WONDERfools” and Eun Chae Ni mean to her, she replied, “I think people who loved Song Ji Won from the drama ‘Age of Youth‘ will also love this character. Of course, the story and genre are different, but there are similarities between the two. I hope Chae Ni can fill the longing people may still have for Ji Won.”

Netflix’s upcoming series “The WONDERfools” has unveiled new stills ahead of its premiere!

First, the newly released still of Kim Jeon Bok (Kim Hae Sook) warmly embracing her beloved granddaughter Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin) highlights the grandmother’s deep affection for her only grandchild. Determined to keep Chae Ni safe no matter the danger, Jeon Bok appears to be a caring grandmother who simply wants her granddaughter to stay healthy and happy. However, she also harbors a surprising past as the notorious “King Jeon Bok,” a legendary loan shark who once dominated Myeongdong’s underground money-lending world.

Meanwhile, a still of Ha Won Do (Son Hyun Joo) inside an underground laboratory sparks curiosity about the mysterious new project he may be planning after returning to Haeseong City. As the former head of the secret “Wunderkinder Project,” which researched superpowers in the past, Ha Won Do exudes a chilling presence. The newly released stills also spotlight the three “Wunderkinder” who gained superpowers after being experimented on by Ha Won Do, whom they call “father”: Seok Joo Ran (Jung Yi Seo), Seok Ho Ran (Choi Yoon Ji), and Kim Pal Ho (Bae Na Ra).

Seok Joo Ran’s unreadable expression draws attention to her brainwashing abilities, which allow her to manipulate anyone at will, leaving viewers wondering exactly who she has set her sights on.

Meanwhile, Seok Ho Ran—who possesses the power to create hallucinations—captures attention with one glowing white eye, adding to the mystery surrounding both her abilities and the consequences they may bring.

In the newly released video, Park Eun Bin, Cha Eun Woo, Choi Dae Hoon, and Im Seong Jae offer brief introductions to their roles.

Park Eun Bin, who plays Eun Chae Ni, commented, “She’s the granddaughter of the owner of Hearty House. But instead of her name Eun Chae Ni, everyone in Haeseong City knows her as ‘Trainwreck.’” She added, “She gains the ability of teleportation. Not only can she teleport, she’s also tied to a crucial secret that pushes the narrative forward.”

Cha Eun Woo, who plays Lee Un Jeong, said, “The character Un Jeong is specially assigned to Haeseong City as a civil servant.” He explained his superpower: “He has the power of telekinesis, which means he can lift objects or hurl them however he pleases.”

Choi Dae Hoon plays Son Gyeong Hun, who describes himself as “a grandmaster grumbler and a professional interloper” and “the king of complaints, an expert at pointing fingers.” He added, “After a strange incident with Chae Ni and Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae), he gains the ability to stick to things. Put simply, he becomes human flypaper.”

Im Seong Jae, who plays Kang Ro Bin, remarked, “As I’m sure you’ll all see, Ro Bin is a cutie, and he works at Chae Ni’s grandmother’s restaurant Hearty House.” He explained his superpower: “Through a series of events, he suddenly gains superpower-like strength. But he doesn’t know exactly what triggers it, so he trains under his master Un Jeong and is enlightened.”

In the main poster, Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), Son Gyeong Hun (Choi Dae Hoon), and Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae) are running as they leave behind the chaos of Haeseong City. Under the tagline, “Lovable misfits will save the world,” the city is shown in complete disorder, with cars flying through the air and buildings and signs collapsing.

At the front is Eun Chae Ni, leading the group. Behind her is Lee Un Jeong, who uses telekinesis. Next is Son Gyeong Hun, holding a car steering wheel. At the back is Kang Ro Bin, with part of a wall wrapped around his arm.

Together, they use their unique superpowers and work as a team to save Haeseong from danger.

The teaser opens with Eun Chae Ni bleeding from the nose as she asks, “So I’m really going to die?”

Eun Chae Ni, known in Haeseong City as a troublemaker who once shouted that she wanted to see the end of the world, suddenly finds herself with the ability to teleport.

Elsewhere, Kang Ro Bin and Son Gyeong Hun struggle to adjust to daily life after unexpectedly gaining superpowers. In contrast, Lee Un Jeong appears fully in control, skillfully using telekinesis. After witnessing his abilities, Eun Chae Ni, Kang Ro Bin, and Son Gyeong Hun begin calling him “master.”

A voice then warns that people are disappearing just as they did 20 years ago. Dr. Ha Won Do (Son Hyun Joo) and three members of the so-called Wunderkinder also appear, deepening the mystery around who they are and what threat they may pose to Haeseong City.

The teaser closes with Eun Chae Ni saying, “It’s not that I’m nothing, I just haven’t done anything yet,” as the four of them face an approaching threat with growing resolve.

Netflix’s upcoming drama “The WONDERfools” has unveiled new character stills!

The newly released stills capture Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin), Son Gyeong Hun (Choi Dae Hoon), and Kang Ro Bin (Im Seong Jae), who find themselves with superpowers by surprise, as well as Lee Un Jeong (Cha Eun Woo), who becomes unintentionally entangled with them.

Chae Ni, the granddaughter of the family that owns Haeseong’s most popular Keunson Restaurant, has lived a life of giving up on everything due to a heart condition she has suffered from since childhood. Perhaps as a result, she grew up with a headstrong personality and is known as the “hot mess” of the city.

Gear up to see Team WONDERfools in action!

On April 23, upcoming drama “The WONDERfools” unveiled a new character poster and teaser ahead of its premiere.

The newly released character poster highlights each of the different superpowers the members of Team WONDERfools possess. Using afterimages over two overlapped cards, Eun Chae Ni (Park Eun Bin) is shown to have the ability of teleportation. Lee Woon Jung (Cha Eun Woo) highlights his strength with his ability to use telekinesis. Meanwhile, Son Kyung Hoon (Choi Dae Hoon) is like a “useless flypaper” as he sticks comically to the screen, and Kang Robin (Im Seong Jae) looks shocked as he tears through the wall with his fist as a “nuisance maker” with great power, raising anticipation for how the team will utilize their abilities.

The teaser released along with the poster begins with Chae Ni, Kyung Hoon, and Robin peeling onions on the street as Woon Jung keeps his distance. Although Woon Jung pretends to not know the other three, the rest are lost in their own fun conversation filled with laughter.

However, as the four suddenly gain superpowers, chaos ensues from Chae Ni teleporting to random places every other moment to Kyung Hoon being unable to let go of a fridge and Robin making a hole in the wall by simply throwing a canned drink, raising anticipation for how the unlikely crew of “lovable misfits” will adjust to their superpowers.

Additional scenes showing Woon Jung stopping a falling car and speeding bullets with telekinesis further raise questions about the forces opposing Team WONDERfools. The contrast between those screaming, “The apocalypse is nigh!” in the background as Team WONDERfools work together to protect their village raises anticipation for their upcoming journey, especially as Chae Ni comments, “We’re pretty awesome, aren’t we?”
