Watch: Kim Ji Won Threatens Status Quo At A Corrupt Hospital In “Doctor X” Preview

SBS’s upcoming drama “Doctor X” has shared a sneak peek of its first episode!

Based on the hit Japanese series of the same name, “Doctor X” is a medical noir drama starring Kim Ji Won as Gye Soo Jung, a genius surgeon who proves what it truly means to be a doctor through pure skill alone as she “operates” on a corruption-ridden establishment.

The newly released preview of the drama’s premiere begins with Gye Soo Jung entering the operating room. Later, surgical intern Park Tae Kyung (Kim Woo Seok) happens to meet her outside the hospital and asks for her name, to which she responds by making a large “X” sign with her finger.

After arriving at Guseo University Hospital, Gye Soo Jung remains bold and fearless inside the hospital as well. Standing in the auditorium where the medical staff is gathered, Gye Soo Jung asks challengingly about a case, “Why are you performing a laparotomy [on this patient]?” Later, she defiantly tells someone, “I absolutely won’t do any of that.”

Troubled by this daring newcomer who is threatening the status quo, the other doctors at the hospital worry, “This person could shake the foundations of everything [we’re doing].” Meanwhile, one scene shows Park Tae Kyung left alone in the operating room and yelling, “What are we supposed to do if you all leave? There’s no one here!” On the other hand, Boo Seung Kwon (Son Hyun Joo), the director of the hospital, says dismissively, “It’s just a tail that can be cut.”

The preview ends with Jang Hee Sook (Lee Jung Eun), the head of the medical staffing agency that has sent Gye Soo Jung to the hospital, describing her as “the top ace of our agency.”

Byeon Woo Seok’s Agency Issues Warning Against Invasions Of Privacy + Threatens Legal Action

Byeon Woo Seok’s agency has issued a stern warning against the invasion of his privacy.

On September 19, VARO Entertainment released a statement in which they threatened to take legal action against those those who continued to infringe on Byeon Woo Seok’s privacy.

In particular, the agency warned individuals to refrain from “visiting or waiting near private spaces like the residences of [Byeon Woo Seok’s] manager or associates in an attempt to track his movements, or obtaining or sharing the artist’s personal information and private travel details through inappropriate means.”

“The Husband” is a new thriller starring Namkoong Min as a man on the brink of divorce who unexpectedly becomes embroiled in a desperate fight with a dangerous criminal in order to rescue his wife.

On the previous episode of “The Husband,” Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) escaped police custody in order to meet with Lee Soo Hyung (Park Byung Eun).

In newly released stills from the drama’s upcoming fourth episode, Kang Tae Joo s seen pointing a gun at his father-in-law (Jang Gwang) and mother-in-law (Oh Min Ae). While on the run, Kang Tae Joo unexpectedly barges into their home with his gun drawn, leaving his in-laws visibly shocked.

Furthermore, Kang Tae Joo suddenly goes on to demand 3 billion won (approximately $2 million) from his parents-in-law, who believe that he kidnapped their daughter.

Cube Warns Against Impersonation Fraud + Threatens Legal Action

Cube Entertainment has threatened to take legal action against impersonation of the company and the spread of false information.

On July 3, the agency issued the following warning against impersonation fraud:

Hello. This is Cube Entertainment.

We are receiving reports that certain businesses have recently been spreading false information pretending that they have obtained our approval to set up performances by our artists in China, and they are using these false claims to solicit large investments from Chinese companies.

We are letting you know that no such arrangements exist, and we urge you to take extra caution in order to avoid suffering damages because of these [schemes].

Cube Entertainment plans to continue taking all necessary measures to protect the rights and interests of our company and its artists, as well as to prevent harm caused by the spread of false information or acts of impersonation.

Furthermore, if we catch any unauthorized use of our company name or our artists to spread false information, solicit investments, or sign contracts, we will respond with strong legal action, including filing both criminal complaints and civil lawsuits.
