Upcoming film “The Eyes” (literal translation) has unveiled its cast lineup alongside its first poster!

On May 19, it was revealed that in addition to Shin Min Ah, the film stars Kim Nam Hee, Lee Seung Ryong, and Kim Young Ah.

“The Eyes” tells the story of a protagonist who is gradually losing her sight due to a genetic disease and investigates the suspicious death of her twin sister, only to come face to face with the truth behind it.

Shin Min Ah takes on a dual role as Seo Jin and Seo In, twin siblings. Seo In overcomes visual impairment to become a successful ceramic artist but ultimately meets a mysterious death. Seo Jin is a photographer who investigates the death of her twin sister while gradually losing her sight due to hereditary optic neuropathy. Shin Min Ah portrays a character who is progressively losing her vision while also capturing a wide range of emotions, heightening the synergy with the thriller genre.

Kim Nam Hee plays detective Do Hyuk. His character cautiously monitors Seo Jin’s obsession while also serving as her eyes as he jointly investigates Seo In’s death, heightening anticipation for his on-screen synergy with Shin Min Ah.

Lee Seung Ryong stars as Hyun Min, a model who obsessively fixates on Seo Jin with relentless madness.

Kim Young Ah takes on the role of detective Mi Kyung, who is responsible for protecting Seo Jin after she is threatened by a stalker. Kim Young Ah’s reunion with Shin Min Ah following the drama “Karma” further raises curiosity about the chemistry they will display as victim and detective in the unfolding case.

The newly released poster draws attention with its bold red color and an extreme close-up of an eye. Although eyes are something seen every day, they are rendered in a completely different way, and simply looking closely at them evokes an unfamiliar sense of tension.

Helmed by “Train to Busan” and “Peninsula” director Yeon Sang Ho, “Colony” tells the story of survivors trapped in a building that has been blockaded due to an unknown virus as those infected evolve into unpredictable forms.

1. A New Species Beyond Traditional Zombies

The first major highlight is the overwhelming suspense created by a new type of infected unlike anything audiences have seen before. Having long explored social anxiety and human nature through the zombie genre, Yeon Sang Ho now presents even more evolved infected beings in this latest work.

The infected in “Colony” move in groups and share information, displaying attack methods and behavior patterns completely different from traditional zombies. Their unpredictable movements intensify the desperate battle between survivors and the infected.

The stunt team led by action director Heo Myeong Haeng—known for work on “The Roundup: Punishment” and “Badland Hunters”—joined forces with CELL, the special makeup team led by Hwang Hyo Gyun, who previously brought the zombies of “Train to Busan” to life. Together, they created vivid action sequences and highly original creature designs.

Large-scale sets, immersive filming techniques, and stylish production design are also expected to pull audiences directly into the story. Namkoong Min and Lee Seol’s upcoming drama “The Completion of Marriage” (literal title) has confirmed its premiere date!

On May 14, IZE reported that “The Completion of Marriage” will premiere on July 4 at 9:20 p.m. KST as KBS2’s new Saturday-Sunday mini-series.

A KBS representative confirmed, “‘The Completion of Marriage’ will premiere on July 4.”

Starring Namkoong Min, Lee Seol, and Kim Dae Myeung, “The Completion of Marriage” is a romance thriller that follows a man who becomes entangled in a desperate fight against a ruthless criminal in order to rescue his wife, who is kidnapped just before their divorce.

Namkoong Min will lead the drama as a former neurosurgeon turned hospital director who risks his life in a relentless pursuit to save his wife. Lee Seol is starring as his kidnapped wife.

This will officially mark the return of KBS2’s weekend mini-series for the first time in approximately five months since the conclusion of “To My Beloved Thief” in February.

“Reverse” is a mystery revenge thriller in which Myo Jin (Seo Ji Hye), who gets caught up in an explosion at a chaebol family’s villa and loses her memory, works to recover those memories in order to uncover the secrets of her suspicious fiancé Jun Ho (Go Soo) and the truth behind the accident.

Based on an audio movie released in 2022—voiced by Lee Sun Bin, Lee Jun Hyuk, Dasom, and Im Won Hee—the drama adaption of “Reverse” is an eight-episode series newly restructured by expanding on its core theme of amnesia.

Led by Seo Ji Hye and Go Soo, the series also stars Kim Jae Kyung, Im Won Hee, Lee Hyun Kyung, Choi Moo Sung, Shim Hyung Tak, and others, who are expected to deliver intense performances that heighten the tension.
