TWICE, Stray Kids, And Park Jin Young Invited To Join Grammy Awards’ Recording Academy As Voting Members

The Recording Academy, which is best-known for its annual Grammy Awards, has officially invited TWICE, Stray Kids, and JYP Entertainment founder Park Jin Young to join its ranks!

Last week, the famous American institution revealed that it had extended over 4,000 invitations to “dedicated music creators” and “established music professionals across genres, backgrounds, and disciplines.”

JYP Entertainment has now announced that 18 of its artists—Park Jin Young, the nine members of TWICE, and the eight members of Stray Kids—have been invited to join the Recording Academy as voting members, meaning that they will be eligible to vote for the Grammy Awards.

Meanwhile, JYP Entertainment CEO Jeong Wook and CSO Shin Hyun Kook, who also serves as the CEO of JYP America, have been invited to join as professional members: a type of membership for music executives, managers, publicists, agents, and other team members that work to support music creators.

Formally established in 1957, the Recording Academy held the very first Grammy Awards in 1959. It currently holds the prestigious award ceremony every year to recognize achievements in music, with only its voting members eligible to cast votes and determine which of their peers will be awarded.

Last month, the Recording Academy announced that it would be adding a new Best Asian Pop Music Performance category for the upcoming 2027 Grammy Awards.

Congratulations to TWICE, Stray Kids, and Park Jin Young on their official invitations!

TWICE’s Sana Reflects On The Group’s 10th Debut Anniversary, Being True To Herself, And More

TWICE’s Sana recently teamed up with Harper’s BAZAAR Korea for a pictorial and interview!

The photo shoot was created in collaboration with the clothing brand Alo. In the interview that followed, Sana shared her thoughts on TWICE’s 10th debut anniversary, being true to herself, and more.

When asked what it means to be “true to herself,” she said, “I try not to think of ‘being myself’ as something fixed. The version of myself that felt authentic a few years ago could be different now.” She continued, “I think being true to myself means accepting who I am at each stage of my life just as I am—even the awkward parts and the flaws.”

Sana also reflected on celebrating TWICE’s 10th debut anniversary through the group’s special album “TEN: The Story Goes On” last year. She shared, “Those were incredibly precious days for us. The members and I were physically exhausted—we barely had any time to rest over the past year—but we were happy.” She added, “The past 10 years with TWICE have gone by almost frighteningly fast. I’m proud, but it’s also a little scary because I feel like the next 10 years will pass just as quickly.”

The idol also spoke about her connection with Alo. “I really care about fit and fabric, and I’ve always liked Alo because the materials feel so soft against the skin,” she said. “Since I dance so much, the clothes are perfect for practice, and they’re also incredibly comfortable to wear while traveling.”

She continued, “During the Los Angeles stop of our “THIS IS FOR” world tour, I also visited the Alo Wellness Center. Trying out the different equipment really helped me feel better. We had three concerts there, and I visited the center before each performance. Having that time to take care of myself made me feel relaxed.”

8 Naturally Adorable K-Pop Idols With Fierce Stage Presence

Stage presence isn’t just about how you look, it’s about how you rock it! These idols show some amazing duality with their fierce performances, in spite of the fact that they’re actually pretty adorable. Sometimes, looks can be deceiving!

IVE’s Rei

This is one of Rei’s most-viewed fancams for a reason! IVE’s performances often have a sleek, cool-girl vibe to them. Rei embodies that perfectly on the stage, despite the fact that she’s super adorable off of it! She can really switch it up during performances thanks to her confidence and undeniable talent.

Stray Kids’ Han

If you didn’t already know that Han was a member of Stray Kids, you might not believe it! Known for their powerful performances, the group hasn’t shied away from grittier concepts. Even with his round cheeks and heart-shaped smile, Han kills it in this performance of “LALALALA” ! His cuteness somehow disappears the second he grabs the mic.

Billlie’s Tsuki

Those who remember Tsuki from her viral “GingaMingaYo” fancam might be a bit surprised by this performance of “ZAP,” or maybe not! No matter what concept Billlie is rocking, Tsuki always delivers. Her natural cuteness doesn’t detract from her incredibly fierce aura on stage. If anything, it adds to it!

ENHYPEN’s Sunoo

ENHYPEN’s Sunoo doesn’t even need a costume or a makeup change to switch up the vibe. He’s all adorable smiles in this fancam of “Bite Me” until the music starts—afterwards, his game face is on! The change from smiles to intense focus that perfectly suits the stage can be a bit surprising, but you have to admit his duality is insane!

ILLIT’s Wonhee

ILLIT is usually known for bright, upbeat songs that show off the group’s cutesy side. That’s what makes this “ICONIC BY MISTAKE” performance so cool! A collab between ILLIT, LE SSERAFIM and KATSEYE, this song lets Wonhee flex her fierce stage presence. Even though she’s super cute, the switch-up in this song is crazy!

NCT’s Haechan

Practically an industry veteran at this point, Haechan has the stage presence of a seasoned pro! His round face and sparkly eyes are on show throughout this performance of “2 Baddies,” but his natural adorableness seems to evaporate the second the music starts in favor of a cooler, sharper image. He’s just that good!

TWICE’s Nayeon

TWICE has covered a ton of concepts over the course of their career, and Nayeon has slayed all of them! Her cuteness off-stage is evident in everything she does, but she’s also a super fierce performer. You’d think that a song like “ABCD” might not be well-suited to someone as adorable as Nayeon, but she totally kills it!

BTS’ Suga

Real ARMYs know—as much as he might try to hide it, Suga is naturally adorable! This performance of “ON” from 2020 shows off his total command of the stage, but don’t let that fool you. His soft cheeks and gummy smile are just too sweet! He really knows how to switch it up on the stage to put on an amazing show.
