CIX’s Hyunsuk Confirmed To Star In “Study Group 2” As Villain

CIX’s Hyunsuk is officially joining the cast of “Study Group 2”!

On July 13, MyDaily reported that Hyunsuk had been cast as Ji Young Hyun in “Study Group 2” and was already filming. In the original webtoon, Ji Young Hyun serves as the season’s main antagonist.

The following day, TVING confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that Hyunsuk will appear in ‘Study Group 2.’ He is currently filming.”

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, “Study Group” is a high school action-comedy about Youn Ga Min (Hwang Minhyun), a student who dreams of excelling academically but is only gifted in fighting. At a high school notorious for being one of the worst in the world, he forms a study group and dives into the ruthless world of college entrance exams. The drama ranked in the Top 5 for over 140 regions on Viki, proving its global success.

Hyunsuk debuted as a member of CIX in 2019 before launching his acting career in 2021. After recently signing with Management Run, he has been expanding his acting portfolio and is also set to appear in tvN’s upcoming drama “My Bias, My Boss,” where he stars alongside his “Study Group 2” co-star Cha Woo Min.

KBS 2TV’s “The Husband” has shared a new glimpse of Kim Dae Myeung’s unnerving duality.

“The Husband” is a new thriller starring Namkoong Min as a man on the brink of divorce who unexpectedly becomes embroiled in a desperate fight with a dangerous criminal in order to rescue his wife.

On the previous episode of “The Husband,” Kim Dae Myeung left a strong impression on viewers as Noh Man Hee, the ruthless man who kidnapped Go Se Yoon (Lee Seol). When Go Se Yoon’s mother offered him 3 billion won (approximately $2 million) for the return of her daughter, the offer only served to provoke his rage, leading him to strangle Go Se Yoon while her loved ones watched in horror. Noh Man Hee then sent an incriminating video of Kang Tae Joo (Namkoong Min) to the police, making him the primary suspect in the investigation.

The upcoming third and fourth episodes of the drama will depict Noh Man Hee’s chilling duality in even further detail. A two-faced villain hiding in plain sight, Noh Man Hee seems on the surface to be a friendly guy who takes care of his neighbors, whether helping an elderly woman by fixing her computer or smiling warmly while waiting for his food at a restaurant.

However, Noh Man Hee reveals his true colors in other photos, threatening someone over the phone and monitoring Go Se Yoon through a screen with a menacing expression. He is also seen wearing a mask while carrying out his crimes as a ruthless kidnapper.

Ong Seong Wu has shared his thoughts on his upcoming drama “Spooky in Love”!

A remake of the 2011 film “Spellbound,” “Spooky in Love” is an occult romance drama about the chaotic partnership between Cheon Yeo Ri (Park Eun Bin), a hotel heiress who can see ghosts, and Ma Gang Wook (Yang Se Jong), a passionate prosecutor who is terrified of them.

Returning to the small screen, Ong Seong Wu signals a 180-degree shift from the youthful, fresh-faced image he showed in his previous roles as he takes on the villain Kang Min Hwan.

Ong Seong Wu explained his reason for choosing the project, saying, “Since the original film was widely loved, I was excited about its remake. I thought I could bring new tension to the story through an original character named Kang Min Hwan, who did not appear in the original.”

Kang Min Hwan is a character who hides endless ambition behind a gentle smile. The upcoming drama “The Apartment Job” has unveiled the new stills featuring Park Byung Eun in character!

“The Apartment Job” follows former Oasis Gang boss Park Hae Kang (Ji Sung), who runs for the apartment residents’ council president election in order to get his hands on the building’s hidden money. Along the way, he joins forces with residents to expose corruption and wrongdoing.

In the drama, Park Byung Eun plays Lee Choong Won, a construction company CEO and penthouse resident who possesses looks, wealth, eloquence, and even wit. Park Byung Eun portrays the dual nature of Lee Choong Won, a man whom everyone assumes was born with a silver spoon in his mouth but who is actually a self-made man from humble beginnings with the ultimate goal of building his own kingdom.

In the newly released stills, Lee Choong Won exudes a dark and ominous aura.
