VIXX’s Leo Signs With New Agency

VIXX’s Leo has joined a new agency!

On May 14, SUBLIME officially announced that Leo had signed an exclusive contract with the company.

“Jung Taek Woon [Leo’s given name] has established his own unique style through his music, performances, and acting,” said SUBLIME. “We will be unsparing in our support and become a trusty partner so that his unique charm can shine even brighter.”

Leo, who debuted as a member of VIXX in 2012, has since made a name for himself both as a solo artist and a musical actor. He is currently gearing up to star in the upcoming musical “Yumi’s Cells,” which opens on June 30, as the mysterious new character “Cell 109.”

Meanwhile, SUBLIME’s star-studded roster of actors currently includes Nana, Girl’s Day’s Hyeri, Im Soo Hyang, Seo Yea Ji, Cho Han Gyul, and more.

Lee Sang Yeob And VIXX’s Hyuk Confirmed For New Horror Film

Lee Sang Yeob and VIXX’s Hyuk will star in the upcoming film “Pink Box” (literal title)!

Earlier on May 11, Hyuk’s agency COMPANION COMPANY confirmed that he will appear as Sung Gyu in the film “Pink Box.”

On May 13, Lee Sang Yeob’s agency Management LEDO said the actor will also star in the film as Hyun Soo, the influencer.

“Pink Box” is an omnibus-style horror film about five popular influencers who each reach 1 million followers and become caught up in a series of mysterious disappearances after a celebration party.

Hyuk plays Sung Gyu, a magazine journalist who investigates the truth behind the disappearances.

Lee Sang Yeob takes on the role of Hyun Soo, known as a “dark film critic.” He is an influencer with 1 million subscribers who rose to fame after a sharp, critical film review. He is the central figure in the “Starman” episode.

As a creator riding a strong wave of success that can influence a film’s box office performance, Hyun Soo’s story unfolds when he encounters a mysterious “Pink Box” that suddenly appears before him, delivering pure horror.

“Pink Box” began filming on May 7 and has officially entered production. Stay tuned for more updates!

May Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for male idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from April 9 to May 9.

BTS continued their reign at the top of the list with a brand reputation index of 10,428,385 for May. High-ranking phrases in the group’s keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “ARIRANG,” and “Mexico,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “sold out,” “invite,” and “surpass.” BTS’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.47 percent positive reactions.

SEVENTEEN rose to second place with a brand reputation index of 4,621,979, marking an 18.61 percent increase in their score since April.

BIGBANG took third place with a brand reputation index of 3,362,832, marking a 22.94 percent rise in their score since last month.

CORTIS jumped to fourth place after seeing a 68.03 percent increase in their brand reputation index, bringing their score to 3,142,397 for the month.

Finally, EXO rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 2,489,847 for May.

April Boy Group Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for male idol groups!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community indexes of various boy groups, using big data collected from March 11 to April 11.

BTS topped this month’s list with a staggering brand reputation index of 22,897,786, marking a whopping 165.57 percent increase in their score since March.

High-ranking phrases in BTS’s keyword analysis included “ARMY,” “ARIRANG,” and “concert,” while their highest-ranking related terms included “perform,” “attend,” and “begin.” The group’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 95.12 percent positive reactions.

Wanna One jumped to second place after seeing a 55.35 percent rise in their brand reputation index, bringing their total score to 4,513,178 for April.

Meanwhile, SEVENTEEN held onto their spot at third place with a brand reputation index of 3,913,634.

ENHYPEN rose to fourth place with a brand reputation index of 3,557,928, marking a 63.86 percent increase in their score since March.

Finally, Stray Kids rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 3,311,143 for April.
