BTS’s “ARIRANG” Becomes 1st Album By Korean Artist To Spend 12 Weeks In Top 10 Of Billboard 200

BTS’s “ARIRANG” continues to make K-pop history on the Billboard 200!

On June 28 local time, Billboard announced that BTS’s latest studio album “ARIRANG” had remained No. 10 on its Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States.

“ARIRANG” has now spent 12 non-consecutive weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200, making it the first album by a Korean artist ever to achieve the feat. It has also spent 14 consecutive weeks on the chart overall.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “ARIRANG” earned a total of 33,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on June 25.

CORTIS’s “GREENGREEN” Becomes Their 1st Album To Chart For 5 Weeks In Top 50 Of Billboard 200

All lights are “GREENGREEN” for CORTIS as their latest EP continues its impressive run on the Billboard charts!

This week, CORTIS’s second EP “GREENGREEN” successfully remained in the top 50 of Billboard’s Top 200 Albums chart, which ranks the most popular albums in the United States, for its fifth week in a row. For the week ending on June 20, “GREENGREEN” fell four spots to No. 50.

“GREENGREEN,” which first debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, has now become CORTIS’s first album to spend five weeks in the top 100.

Outside of the Billboard 200, “GREENGREEN” returned to No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart this week. The EP also climbed back up to No. 4 on the Top Album Sales chart, meaning it was the fourth best-selling album of the week in the United States.

Meanwhile, CORTIS’s title track “REDRED” held relatively steady at No. 29 in its seventh week on Billboard’s Global Excl. U.S. chart, in addition to rising to No. 52 on the Global 200.

Finally, CORTIS made Billboard’s Artist 100 at No. 32, marking their ninth overall week on the chart.

“Music Bank” To Go Off Air For 2 Weeks

KBS 2TV’s “Music Bank” will be going on a two-week hiatus.

The KBS music show has officially announced, “‘Music Bank’ will not be airing on Friday, June 19 or 26, 2026. We ask for your generous understanding.”

Notably, this year is the first time since the 2002 Korea-Japan World Cup that “Music Bank” has been canceled due to the FIFA World Cup. While there were instances of the show’s broadcast time being changed due to coverage of the World Cup, a two-week hiatus is rare.

“Music Bank” normally airs on Fridays at 5 p.m. KST.

“ARIRANG” is now the first album by a Korean artist ever to spend nine weeks in the top 10 of the Billboard 200. After debuting at No. 1 back in March, “ARIRANG” spent its first three weeks at the top of the chart and has held steady in the top 10 for every week since.

According to Luminate (formerly Nielsen Music), “ARIRANG” earned a total of 42,000 equivalent album units during the week ending on May 21.

“ARIRANG” has now become the first album by a Korean artist to spend five weeks in the top 10 of the Blllboard 200. The album, which topped the Billboard 200 for its first three weeks, previously made history as the first album by a Korean artist to spend more than one week at No. 1 on the chart.
