Lee Jun Hyuk Heads To Work With Newfound Ease After Winning The Lottery In “The Ordinary Jackpot”

“The Ordinary Jackpot” has unveiled a new poster!

Based on a webtoon, “The Ordinary Jackpot” follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), an ordinary sales employee who wins the lottery jackpot. Though the prize—1.3 billion won (approximately $950,000)—isn’t quite enough to dramatically transform his life overnight, the experience ultimately inspires him to change himself instead. Rather than quit, he returns to work the very next day with a completely different outlook on life.

The newly released poster captures Gong Eun Tae heading to work for the first time since winning the lottery jackpot. Amid a crowd of busy commuters, he waits for the subway in a neat suit, looking much more relaxed than those around him. His upright posture and one hand casually tucked into his pocket hint at his newfound ease, as he secretly carries the incredible fortune of 1.3 billion won.

The tagline, “Even with 1.3 billion won, Monday still comes,” further hints that despite his newfound fortune, Gong Eun Tae’s everyday routine continues as usual.

He continued, “Perhaps Gong Eun Tae has lost sight of his true self and has been living as the person others want him to be.” The director added, “In the end, this story will also be about Gong Eun Tae finding his true self again,” raising anticipation for the new chapter of Gong Eun Tae’s life that will truly begin starting in Episode 3.

Lee Jun Hyuk Is An Office Worker Whose Life Changes After Winning The Lottery In New Drama “The Ordinary Jackpot”

“The Ordinary Jackpot” has unveiled new stills of Lee Jun Hyuk in character!

Based on a webtoon, “The Ordinary Jackpot” follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), an ordinary sales employee who wins the lottery jackpot. Though the prize—1.3 billion won (approximately $946,000)—isn’t quite enough to dramatically transform his life overnight, the experience ultimately inspires him to change himself instead. Rather than quit, he returns to work the very next day with a completely different outlook on life.

The stills capture Gong Eun Tae before and after his lottery win, highlighting how his life changes. In one still, Gong Eun Tae’s face as he waits to head to work clearly shows how exhausted he is from his demanding corporate life. Although he rose to the position of team leader faster than others, he is simply an office worker who is busy getting through each day without incident as he is constantly caught between his superiors and subordinates.

However, an unexpected stroke of luck brings changes to Gong Eun Tae’s daily life. His eyes widen as he comes face-to-face with an unbelievable reality, and even after experiencing his “jackpot” moment, he heads to work instead of submitting his resignation. It remains to be seen how his life at the company will change as he carries his “insurance for his peace of mind” in the form of 1.3 billion won in lottery winnings.

Lee Jun Hyuk described his character, saying, “He is an ordinary office worker who lives more diligently and works harder than anyone else. He may seem frustrating to some, but he is fiercely dedicated to the work he is responsible for and always gives it his all.”

Gong Eun Tae’s subtle emotional changes following his lottery win are also a key point to watch. Lee Jun Hyuk explained his approach to the role, saying, “I prepared for it with the feeling of welcoming guests to our drama. I spent a lot of time thinking about how to create synergy with the actors who bring good energy to our drama and how to portray Eun Tae’s subtle emotional shifts without making them feel too stark.”

TVING’s upcoming original series “The Ordinary Jackpot” has unveiled a new teaser!

Based on the webtoon of the same name, “The Ordinary Jackpot” follows Gong Eun Tae (Lee Jun Hyuk), an ordinary sales employee who wins the lottery jackpot. Though the prize—1.3 billion won (approximately $907,000)—isn’t quite enough to dramatically transform his life overnight, the experience ultimately inspires him to change himself instead. Rather than quit, he returns to work the very next day with a completely different outlook on life.

The teaser shows how Gong Eun Tae changes after winning the lottery jackpot while continuing his repetitive work life. After taking home 1.3 billion won in prize money, Gong Eun Tae says, “In the life I’ve lived without being able to get angry, this may be the last chance my life is giving me,” before beginning to make choices unlike those he made before.

Instead of quitting his job, Gong Eun Tae continues working while doing things he normally would never have done. As a result, the dynamic between Gong Eun Tae and Yang Jun Ho (Seo Hyun Woo), an assistant manager on Sales Team 5 who joined the company one year before Gong Eun Tae but whose relationship with him became strained after Gong Eun Tae was promoted to team leader ahead of him, also begins to change.

The stories of his other colleagues, such as Jung Seon Hyuk (Oh Dae Hwan), the team leader of Sales Team 4, are also woven into the story.

TVING’s upcoming original series “The Ordinary Jackpot” has unveiled its first poster and teaser!

Gong Eun Tae is a team leader who has worked relentlessly for an uneventful, ordinary life. Although he was promoted faster than anyone else, he finds himself caught between those above and below him because he is the youngest team leader. His unexpected stroke of luck in winning the lottery prompts him to gradually change the way he approaches both life and work.

The poster features the lottery ticket for a first-prize win alongside the employee ID card of Gong Eun Tae, an ordinary sales team leader. Rather than showing the joy of winning, Gong Eun Tae’s impassive expression, suggesting that getting to work comes first, captures the struggles of an office worker who has fought to get through each day. The phrase “Go to work instead of quitting!” teases that he chooses to continue his ordinary routine even after winning the lottery.

The accompanying teaser depicts the grueling day-to-day life of Gong Eun Tae. He makes it to work earlier than everyone else after enduring the hellish commute, yet he is caught in the middle, pressured from both above and below, making his title of team leader seem meaningless.

Then, one day, an unexpected stroke of luck comes to Gong Eun Tae, who has endured and persevered through it all: a first-prize lottery win worth 1.3 billion won. After briefly imagining the sweet prospect of quitting, Gong Eun Tae decides to go back to work instead of leaving the company. In particular, he is seen with a sparkle in his eyes as he says, “I’m going to turn this company upside down,” teasing how his work life will change after winning the lottery.
