July Girl Group Member Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual girl group members!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 735 girl group members, using big data collected from June 19 to July 19.

RESCENE’s Woni topped this month’s list with a brand reputation index of 7,962,989, marking an 89.84 percent increase in her score since June. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “LOVE ATTACK,” “Lee Sun Min,” and “Pretty Girl,” while her positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 91.26 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, IVE’s Jang Won Young came in at a close second with a brand reputation index of 7,490,203 for July.

aespa’s Karina took third place with a brand reputation index of 5,618,919, marking an 18.63 percent increase in her score since last month.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie ranked fourth with a brand reputation index of 4,984,751, while RESCENE’s Minami followed close behind in fifth with a score of 4,899,662.

Watch: RESCENE Reveals Dorm + Sheds Tears While Visiting Geoje In “The Manager” Preview

RESCENE will be sharing a glimpse inside their dorm and paying a meaningful visit to Geoje on MBC’s “The Manager”!

The popular reality show has aired a preview of its upcoming episode, which will feature the members of RESCENE as guests.

The new preview starts with a montage of RESCENE’s past, when they were relatively unknown to the public. The clip then cuts to Minami and Woni’s massively viral “Geoje yaho” meme, which recently led to the group skyrocketing to fame.

Next, the preview offers a sneak peek of RESCENE’s dorm, which the members mention that they are revealing for the first time on “The Manager.” Amidst footage of the idols hanging out, joking around, and sharing clothes at home, Woni explains that they only have one bathroom in their dorm. 

Afterwards, all five members of RESCENE travel to Geoje, where a red carpet has been laid out especially for them. When the residents of Geoje recognize the group, the members get emotional, and Woni tears up.

However, the tears don’t stop there. Over a meal, the idols reminisce about the early days of their career, with Woni mentioning that they weren’t always able to perform on music shows, even when they wanted to. As the RESCENE members wipe their tears, Woni jokes, “Geoje women don’t cry!”

July Individual Rookie Idol Brand Reputation Rankings Announced

The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for individual rookie idols!

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various rookie idols, using big data collected from June 2 to July 2.

RESCENE dominated this month’s list, with the members sweeping five of the top seven spots for July. Woni rose to first place with a brand reputation index of 1,584,988, marking a 38.95 percent increase in her score since June. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “Geoje,” “YouTube,” and “Pretty Girl,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “hot,” “charming,” and “stand out.” Woni’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 93.95 percent positive reactions.

Meanwhile, RESCENE’s Minami shot to second place after seeing a whopping 243.83 percent rise in her brand reputation index, bringing her total score to 996,332 for July.

ILLIT’s Wonhee took third place with a brand reputation index of 867,347, while CORTIS’s Keonho came in fourth with a score of 658,251.

Finally, RESCENE’s Zena leaped to fifth place after seeing a staggering 536.05 percent increase in her brand reputation index, bringing her total score to 599,945.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, communication, and community awareness indexes of 735 girl group members, using big data collected from May 21 to June 21.

IVE’s Jang Won Young continued her reign at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 7,538,960, marking a 12.26 percent increase in her score since May.

High-ranking phrases in Jang Won Young’s keyword analysis included “BANG BANG,” “handwritten letter,” and “airport,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “lovely,” “model,” and “controversy.” Jang Won Young’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 90.41 percent positive reactions.

BLACKPINK’s Jennie held onto her spot at second place with a brand reputation index of 7,166,269, marking a 51.02 percent increase in her score since last month.

aespa’s Karina also maintained her position at third place with a brand reputation index of 4,736,626, marking a 5.56 percent rise in her score since May.

BLACKPINK’s Rosé jumped to fourth place with a brand reputation index of 4,267,284, marking a 66.09 percent increase in her score since last month.

Finally, RESCENE’s Woni came in at a close fifth with a brand reputation index of 4,194,647 for June.

Get ready for a fun episode of JTBC’s “Knowing Bros” (“Ask Us Anything”) with guests from four different girl groups!

The popular variety show has revealed a sneak peek of next week’s episode, which will feature Brown Eyed Girls’ Narsha and JeA, fromis_9’s Lee Chaeyoung and Baek Jiheon, RESCENE’s Woni and Minami, along with Baby DONT Cry’s Yihyun and Beni, as guests.

After the guests introduce themselves in pairs by dancing to their respective songs, Narsha playfully points out the generation gap between Brown Eyed Girls and the younger groups by saying, “I see that [idols] these days keep jumping throughout [their choreography].”

Next, Woni and Minami give their viral “Yaho” meme a “Knowing Bros” twist, with Narsha, JeA, and Kang Ho Dong attempting to imitate them. Meanwhile, Baek Jiheon shares that it’s been her dream since childhood to meet Kang Ho Dong and excitedly gives him a high five before exclaiming in surprise, “You’re really strong.”

The fromis_9 members also joke about the difference between the vibes Baek Jiheon and Lee Chaeyoung initially give off, suggesting that Baek Jiheon looks like the ideal daughter-in-law while Lee Chaeyoung looks like someone whose boyfriends’ moms might oppose them marrying.

Yihyun and Beni impress the “Knowing Bros” cast with displays of random talents, while Minami shows off her Korean language skills by quickly reciting tongue-twisters. Later, after facing off in various games, all of the idols come together for a joint dance performance.

Nam Ji Hyun And RESCENE’s Woni To Host 2026 Korea Grand Music Awards

Actress Nam Ji Hyun and RESCENE’s Woni will serve as MCs for the 3rd Korea Grand Music Awards (KGMA)!

According to the KGMA organizing committee on June 10, Nam Ji Hyun and Woni will host the first day of the 2026 KGMA, which is scheduled to be held at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul on November 7 and 8.

Nam Ji Hyun will be serving as an MC for the third consecutive year, following her roles in 2024 and 2025. In 2024, the inaugural year of the KGMA, she hosted the event with stability alongside NewJeans’ Hanni and aespa’s Winter. Last year, she worked alongside Red Velvet’s Irene and KISS OF LIFE’s Natty.

Woni debuted as a member of RESCENE in March 2024, and the group has been active with tracks such as “LOVE ATTACK,” “Runaway,” “UhUh,” “Pinball,” and “Glow Up.” She is currently creating a syndrome with her approachable and down-to-earth charm showcased on her personal YouTube channel.

The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, media coverage, interaction, and community awareness indexes of various rookie idols, using big data collected from May 3 to June 3.

ILLIT’s Wonhee held onto her spot at the top of the list with a brand reputation index of 1,246,340, marking a 243.46 percent increase in her score since May. High-ranking phrases in her keyword analysis included “20 years old, “It’s Me,” and “Billboard,” while her highest-ranking related terms included “mature,” “advertise,” and “model.” Wonhee’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 92.84 percent positive reactions.

RESCENE’s Woni shot to a close second after seeing a staggering 2,029.27 percent increase in her brand reputation index, bringing her total score to 1,140,658 for June.

CORTIS’s Keonho maintained his position at third place with a brand reputation index of 940,101, marking a 398.18 percent rise in his score since last month.

ILLIT’s Moka jumped to fourth place after seeing a whopping 539.77 percent increase in her brand reputation index, bringing her total score to 779,572 for the month.

Finally, CORTIS’s Seonghyeon rounded out the top five with a brand reputation index of 428,246, marking a 281.98 percent rise in his score since May.
