Watch: Xdinary Heroes Announces Comeback Date With Cinematic Mood Film For “IMPULSE”
Xdinary Heroes has kicked off the countdown to their first comeback as a five-member band!
On September 21 at midnight KST, Xdinary Heroes officially announced their plans for their upcoming return, which will mark their first comeback since Gun-il’s departure last month.
Xdinary Heroes will be releasing their ninth mini album “IMPULSE” on October 12 at 6 p.m. KST.

Xdinary Heroes’ Jooyeon Sits Out Schedule, Including Villains 4th Anniversary Live, Due To Health
Xdinary Heroes’ Jooyeon will be taking a temporary break from activities after falling ill.
On September 14, JYP Entertainment announced that Jooyeon had been diagnosed with Type A influenza after developing cold-like symptoms.
As a result, Jooyeon will be temporarily sitting out all of the group’s activities, including today’s Villains fourth-anniversary YouTube live broadcast in order to rest and focus on his recovery.
The agency’s full statement is as follows:
Hello. This is JYP Entertainment.
This afternoon, member Jooyeon visited the hospital due to cold-like symptoms, and after being examined, he was diagnosed with Type A influenza.
In accordance with the doctor’s opinion, Jooyeon will not be participating in scheduled activities for the time being, and he will be focusing on recovering his health while getting plenty of rest. Therefore, he will unavoidably be unable to participate in the Villains fourth-anniversary live broadcast scheduled for tomorrow, along with certain other scheduled activities.
Regarding his future schedule, Jooyeon will resume activities once we have assessed the state of his health and determined that he has sufficiently recovered.
We ask for fans’ generous understanding, and please give Jooyeon your warm support so that he can recover his health as quickly as possible.
On September 7, TenAsia reported that Xdinary Heroes is preparing to return with new music in October, followed by a concert in mid-November. The band has reportedly been filming content related to their upcoming release.
In response to the report, JYP Entertainment confirmed, “Xdinary Heroes is preparing for a comeback next month,” adding, “They are also scheduled to hold a concert in November.”
The upcoming release will mark Xdinary Heroes’ first new music in approximately six months since their eighth mini album “DEAD AND” in April. It will also be their first comeback as a five-member band following the departure of Gun-il last month.

Gun-il, who recently left Xdinary Heroes, has released a new statement through his legal representative.
On August 20, attorney Sung Jae Hwan of Joowon Law Firm, representing Gun-il, posted an official statement on his Instagram, declaring, “The Artist did not depart of his own volition nor did he agree to terminate his exclusive contract.”

Recently, an individual identified as “A,” who claimed to have previously dated Gun-il, posted on an online community with claims exposing various comments he made, which included cursing of fans. Following the allegations, on August 13, Xdinary Heroes’ agency JYP Entertainment released an official statement announcing Gun-il’s withdrawal from the group as well as the termination of his contract.
Xdinary Heroes Cancels Upcoming Fan Meeting “THE X-TOWN” Following Gun-il’s Departure
Xdinary Heroes’ third fan meeting “THE X-TOWN,” which was scheduled to be held next month, will no longer be taking place.
On August 14 KST, the day after Gun-il’s departure from Xdinary Heroes, JYP Entertainment announced that “THE X-TOWN” had been canceled. The fan meeting was originally scheduled to take place over three nights from September 18 to 20 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium in Seoul.

First, we would like to sincerely thank the fans for your unchanging love and support for Xdinary Heroes.
We are taking the fans’ worries and concerns about Xdinary Heroes’ future activities very seriously, and we are reorganizing the direction and schedule of their activities following thorough discussions with the artists so that Xdinary Heroes can continue their group activities in a stable manner in the future. Additionally, after careful discussion regarding their previously determined schedule, we have made the unavoidable decision to cancel Xdinary Heroes’ third fan meeting “THE X-TOWN,” which was scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20, 2026 at Korea University’s Hwajeong Gymnasium.
We sincerely apologize for having to convey this sudden news to the fans who have been waiting for and looking forward to the fan meeting for a long time.

Xdinary Heroes Cancels “Summer Sonic 2026” Appearances Following Gun-il’s Departure
Xdinary Heroes will no longer perform at Japan’s music festival “Summer Sonic 2026.”
On August 13, “Summer Sonic 2026” announced via its official social media accounts that Xdinary Heroes had canceled their appearances, just one day before the festival’s Tokyo event.
The organizers stated, “We have received a request from the artist’s agency to withdraw from the performances, and Xdinary Heroes’ appearances have therefore been canceled. We sincerely apologize to all the fans who were looking forward to seeing them perform.”
They added, “There will be no replacement artist following the cancellation of Xdinary Heroes’ appearances.”
Xdinary Heroes had originally been scheduled to perform on the Pacific Stage at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo on August 14 and on the Massive Stage at Maishima Sports Island in Osaka on August 16 as part of “Summer Sonic 2026.”
The announcement came shortly after JYP Entertainment announced earlier today that leader and drummer Gunil would be leaving the group.

Xdinary Heroes’ Gun-il is officially leaving the group.
On August 13, Xdianry Heroes’ agency JYP Entertainment released the following statement:

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to fans who have always cherished and supported Xdinary Heroes, and we are here to provide an update regarding the future activities of member Gun-il.
Regarding the recent issues concerning member Gun-il, our agency has deeply recognized the gravity of the situation and has engaged in thorough, multi-faceted discussions with the artist. As a result, we have determined that it is no longer possible for him to continue group activities, and we have mutually agreed to terminate his exclusive contract.
Therefore, we inform you that as of today, Gun-il has withdrawn from Xdinary Heroes and will conclude his activities with the group.
We sincerely apologize for causing concern to fans with this sudden news.
Moving forward, Xdinary Heroes will continue their activities as a five-member group. Our agency will continue to provide our full, unsparing support in every way to ensure that the members can focus on their music activities in a stable environment.
Xdinary Heroes’ Jun Han To Adjust Schedule Following Sudden Abdominal Pain
JYP Entertainment has shared an update on Xdinary Heroes Jun Han’s health.
On June 3, JYP Entertainment shared that Jun Han experienced sudden abdominal pain and related symptoms during Xdinary Heroes’ “The New Xcene Special Live in Europe & UK” concert in London on June 2, which prevented him from participating in parts of the show.
Following the recommendation of on-site medical staff, Jun Han is currently getting ample rest and focusing on his recovery. The agency added that his future schedule will be adjusted according to his condition and recovery progress.

Billboard has published its World Albums chart for the week ending on May 2!
TXT’s latest mini album “7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” took No. 1 on this week’s World Albums chart, in addition to debuting at No. 1 on the Top Album Sales chart and No. 3 on the Billboard 200.
PLAVE’s new mini album “Caligo Pt.2” entered the World Albums chart at No. 2, in addition to becoming the group’s first album ever to enter the Billboard 200.
